Το παραδοσιακό παγωτό Κοντογιάννης έχει μια ιστορία 74 χρόνων όταν ο κύριος Κοντογιάννης Ιωάννης ξεκίνησε να παράγει παγωτό με μόλις τέσσερα υλικά: Φρέσκο γάλα, ζάχαρη, πηκτικό και βανίλια. Εκείνα τα χρόνια η ψύξη του παγωτού γινόταν με το χιόνι, το οποίο μετέφεραν από τα ψηλά βουνά της Πίνδου και αφού το διατηρούσαν σε λάκκους σκεπασμένους με άχυρα το τοποθετούσαν στα τοιχώματα της παγωτο μηχανής. Η παρασκευή του παγωτού αυτού δεν έλιωσε στο πέρασμα των ετών. Το φρέσκο γάλα, τα αγνά υλικά και η συνταγή του παππού εξακολουθεί να υπάρχει όχι μόνο στην πόλη των Γρεβενών αλλά η φήμη της διαδόθηκε κυριολεκτικά από στόμα σε στόμα....
